Going to another country with mates from school was a fun experience, so I enjoyed the trip a lot.

There were many good aspects, for example getting to know each other, even people you usually do not hang out with, better. Being together as group worked out quiet well, and we could manage to please everyone with their needs. So all in all we developed nice group dynamics. Sleeping in a room together with my teacher also was a new experience, I found it somehow funny. The quality of our hostel was also “funny” . Never before I have lived in such a bad place, but sharing the fate with the others made it possible to walk it off and we even had some very funny moments concerning hostel.
The tours we did through London were very interesting. Some of us have been there before, but for me it was the first time to visit the city. What I liked a lot were the exhibitions in the museums of London. They were almost always for free and of a very good quality. Especially the Royal Greenwich Observatory and the Tate Gallery impressed me. I was also happy to see all the different parts of London, you could feel the “ethnic diversity” we talked about in class in Germany, and I think it was a good idea to have done all the presentations about London, so that we knew what we saw. We also visited the most important sightseeing spots of the city, and seeing them was quiet interesting. On the boat trip along the Thames river we learned a lot about London and its history, plus we got to sit in a boat and watched the city pass by us, which was a pleasant feeling and a good opportunity to relax. Almost every day we were really busy running around places and see things, but this time passed very fast, because it was really fun. In the evening, everyone was totally tired, but still we got to see London at night! One evening activity was for example going to the Globe Theatre and watch Shakespeares “ Hamlet”. Since the Theatre is based on original construction plans, the atmosphere was quiet authentic. The actors play, the nice costumes and the fact that, like in old times, we had to stand and watch stressed this. That play gave me a new insight in the history of London and made me think about it a bit more differentiated. Other cultural places we visited were some of the numerous Parks London was to offer. I loved lying in the class, eating ice-cream and having fun with my class mates!
On the trip I have learned a lot, seen a lot and had a lot of fun, so I think it was a very good Idea to do it!
